Garlic has been used for thousands of years to flavor foods and to boost the immune system.  Honey has also been used for thousands of years and when you put these two together, you have a powerful remedy for many ailments.

I call garlic the anti-everything herb.  Garlic is full of sulfur compounds that are antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer.  Two oil-soluble compounds in garlic actually halt and shrink the growth of tumors!  Garlic is the go-to herb for anything with the heart and the cardiovascular system.

Consume garlic regularly to energize your whole body.  Make a garlic honey to take during cold and flu season to fight off infections in the lungs and for a sore throat.  Taken by the teaspoonful throughout the day will soothe a sore throat and kill the germs that embed in the tissue.

Raw honey is also medicinal.  It is antibacterial and good for infections of all sorts.  You can use honey on skin infections, and for respiratory and intestinal problems.  When you add a powerful healing herb like garlic to honey, you increase the healing properties.

Here is how to make a delicious garlic honey:

Fill a small wide-mouth canning jar with garlic cloves.  You can leave the cloves whole with skins on, or you can crush them a little to release the oils.  Pour raw honey over the cloves and stir around to saturate them.  Then top it off with more raw honey and cap tightly.  Stir every day for about 6 weeks.  Take by the teaspoonful several times a day for sore throat or other infections.
